Beauty UK haul♥

On my latest Superdrug trip, I stumbled upon the Beauty UK rack of which was absolutely covered with £1.00 sale stickers. Being a student myself of whom doesn't work, this certainly made my eyes light up and my basket fill. Whether they are cheap because they are closing down or whether there is just a general sale, I do not know (such a good beauty blogger...), but it was definitely worth buying as much as I possibly could to try out. I think I may even give some of these as presents! So, without further a do, let's show you everything that dropped into my basket.

From the range, the two products that I decided to pick up were lips and nails. For nails, I went for two gorgeous autumnal shades, a blue shade, a blue/pink glitter and a top coat.

Beauty UK's Gel Posh Polish  in 'Blue Himalayan'.

This beautiful blue caught my eye almost instantly and I knew that it would not be one to leave lonely on the shelf. It's gel formula will hopefully amount to a long lasting shine on the nails that will not chip easily. For £1.000, there was absolutely no reason why not. (Apart from the fact that I already have enough nail polishes and that I am a complete hoarder, but we will forget that shall we?)

Beauty UK's Posh Polish in 'Pinkabloo'.

I bought this glitter solely as I thought it would be lovely to layer over the top of 'blue Himalayan' as the two go so gorgeously together. The little hint of pink in here add something a little different to just all blue, but is subtle enough. Even though it is only September, I am secretly looking towards Christmas and this would be so beautiful for a Christmas/New year party. Or even bonfire night would be great, as these colours do remind me of fireworks. Ahhh.

Beauty UK nail polish in 'red royale'.

Oh me oh my! I love this shade! It has a slight hint of gold shimmer that catches in the light, and will for sure be my Christmas day shade. I could pretend that I haven't already thought about that, but I have so...yeah...

Beauty UK nail polish in 'Cherry bomb'.

If you have read this blog for a while, you will know how much of a sucker I am for Autumn. The crispy leaves, plum colored lips and nails and layering of clothes just gets to me. This colour is PERFECT for that. I am in love with this so very much, and will for sure be a staple this fall.

Beauty UK 'Ultra gloss top coat'.

Finally for nails I bought this top coat. Not much to say really as I haven't tried it out yet, all I know is that I needed a new top coat and this was very cheap indeed.

Moving on, we have lip colours. I only opted for three of which are all sort of the same tones, but never the less, I was not by any stretch of the imagination going to leave them out. That would be cruel, right?

Beauty UK's lip lush in the shade 'kiss me'.

Lets be real here, the only reason I picked this up was because of it's applicator. It has a sponge on the end of the tube that is so unique and different to anything else that I have seen. This is one of the only things I have already tried; I must say I am not impressed. The colour hardly pays off at all, but for £1.00 I don't know what I was expecting. Never mind eh?

Beauty UK's posh pout in 'Sugar Plum Fairy'.

As I previously mentioned, I am for sure terrible when it comes to Autumn, hence this purchase. The shade and name of this just screamed at me at first sight, and so it would be wrong for me to have not picked one up.

Beauty UK's posh pout in 'Power to the purple'.

So, last but by no means least is another posh pout. This one is 'power to the purple' and I must say is very similar to 'sugar plum fairy', but cashing in at only £2.00 for both why not get two similar shades for no reason but for loving them?

Overall, I am really pleased for what I managed to get for the money, and do very much hope that Beauty UK aren't  closing down...If you are a better beauty blogger than I am, and know these things, then please enlighten me. Nothing like a good bargain is there?

#TBGlobalGoals , our goal and sharing awareness♥

Hello everyone,

Last night Tanya Burr posted a video sharing the idea of #TBGlobalGoals, a project of which invites viewers to join with Tanya to express their most important world goal out of the 17 given. On the 25th of September 2015 at the United Nations, 193 of our world leaders will take on the global goals in the hope that they will be achieved by 2030. All 17 goals relate to helping the world's poverty, hunger, and other issues in some way, shape, or form. The idea of Tanya's campaign in particular was to get us viewers posting pictures or videos of our chosen goal in creative ways, to then be put into a montage from Tanya, sharing everyone's thoughts.

The goals are :
1- No Poverty
2- Zero Hunger
3- Good Health And Well-Being
4- Quality Education
5- Gender Equality
6- Clean Water And Sanitation
7- Affordable And Clean Energy
8- Decent Work And Economic Growth
9- Industry, Innovation And Infrastructure
10- Reduced Inequalities
11- Sustainable Cities And Communities
12- Responsible Consumption And Production
13- Climate Action
14- Life Below Water
15- Life On Land
16- Peace And Justice Strong Institutions
17- Partnership For The Goals

Here are some ways in which we managed to express our goal number:

And of course just writing this post and spreading the word to others also.

All of the 17 goals seemed just as important as each other, and so to narrow it down to one was very difficult. In the end, we chose Goal 4, the goal for a quality education to be received by all. With a good education comes more opportunities for that country in particular, helping out with most of the other issues in most ways anyway, in our opinion incorporating them all. Many children and teenagers in the worlds that we are familiar with do get to go to school, and so why shouldn't everyone else too.

We would love for you to get involved too, either by using the hashtag #TBGlobalGoals via twitter or instagram, or emailing videos to . If you do choose to take part, be sure to tag us too so we can find out your views. This really is an important topic that should not be ignored, so get your thinking caps on, and get creating!

You can watch Tanya's video here for more information or go to the global goals website here.

Tanya Burr Hollywood Eye Palette ♥

Hello Everyone!

Tanya Burr's recent launch of her new and improved formulas, packaging and palettes to her cosmetic range was something that turned me into an excited mad women at first sight, and has ultimately turned youtube viewers wild. (That Troye Sivan reference there was completely UNintended okay... whether you chose to believe me or not is a different matter). The new range consists of mainly old shades, with new packaging and formulas, as well as a few new nail shades and even brow and eye palettes. One of the three palettes that struck me most was the Hollywood palette, including four beautiful gold shades that you can achieve the perfect gold eye with, something that I do on an everyday basis anyway. The other two palettes include 'Fairytale' which is has more kind of soft eye shades, and 'Galaxy' which displays very smoky eye colours, better for nights out. For me though, Hollywood was the one that I decided to pick up first and see what I thought as gold just screams me. After trying it though, I do for sure know that the other two need to accidentally drop into my Superdrug basket at some point in the very near future. They are only £6.00, so what is there to worry about eh?

Left to right - Nude delight, Bookworm.
Left to right - Gold coin, Enchantment, Bookworm.

The four shades in this palette include 'nude delight', 'gold coin', 'enchantment' and 'bookworm', and all four are all round holy grails that are perfectly pigmented and give hardly and fall down to under neath the eyes. Nude delight is a colour of which I would start with, on the brow bone and inner corner to highlight. I would normally then take gold coin all over the lid before using enchantment on the outer corners and bookworm in the crease as well as lower lash line. Once this is all blended together, it look so utterly perfect, and can be dressed up or down depending on how you want to use it. For example, a for a more dramatic evening look you could pair this with some of Tanya's lashes (my personally fave are the individuals). Enchantment is just honestly such a beautiful colour, one of which I have never seen anything like anywhere else, and bookworm adds such great eye contour through the crease. Overall, I have used this palette so, so much since it's release and I will for sure be buying it some little friends to add to my collection soon.

You can buy Tanya's collection here, here or in Superdrug stores.

The night before school pamper routine ♥

Hello everyone!

The summer holidays are very nearly over for us, and for some people they have already actually ended, which of course is not a great thought for the majority of us high schoolers. (Well, apart from the fact that we are getting closer to Autumn which means collars over jumpers and dark lipsticks of course. Now THAT is not a bad idea...). Just to try and make me feel a little better about the prospect of having to wake up and drag myself into school like a zombie, I nearly always have a relaxing pamper the night before. Great to do with friends, or just as great on your own. So, today, I am going to share what I would normally do at this time for you all, and hopefully ease your pain if you decide to do this too. For those of you who we are too late catching and are already back, I feel for you, but this is just as good to do on a weekend.

When I am pampering I like to put some music in the background. Last week, Troye Sivan released his brand new ep, 'WILD' and I couldn't love it more! The 6 songs that the album features, 'Wild', 'Bite', 'Fools', 'Ease', 'The quiet' and 'DKLA', talk about Troye's experiences and fill me with so much happiness. His voice is amazing too, and the songs that he writes are so unique and brilliant. If you haven't already, give it a try. You can listen on spotify, buy on iTunes, or buy the ep here.

For me, having a good, thorough skin cleanse the day before school is vital. You are most probably going to be up late in the morning, after guiltily hitting that snooze alarm (don't worry, we all do it) leaving almost no time for makeup, and even if you are up, most schools don't like the makeup prospect anyway. But, not to worry, with a good skin routine going 'au naturel' is just as great. For this, I start with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish of which is my absolute fave. It is a little more on the pricey side at £15.50, but seriously, it is worth every penny. To use this, you simply apply it all over your dry face and wipe off in circular motions with a wet muslin cloth that it comes with. Your skin will love you for it, I promise. After this, I use my simple kind to skin soothing facial scrub to remove any dead skin cells (eww...) and then once my face feels nice and new it is time for a mask. I recently discovered the superdrug detoxifying dead sea mud mask, and I love it. Normally, my skin is very dry, and in which case I would use the superdrug vitamin e mask, but, after the summer, I have been slightly oily. This mask is perfect for that, as it unclogs pores and removes all dirt and oily-ness. At only £2.59 it's honestly amazing. Next, comes my body shop vitamin e toner that prepares the pores for moisturiser. The moisturiser that I have been using is the simple kind to skin light moisturiser, and it's thin consistency sinks into the skin very quickly leaving a non greasy face that some others leave. Perfect! Finally for my face, I apply the carmex moisturising lip balm to make my lips feel great, and we are done!

What is a pamper night without a bath eh? My favourite thing to use for this is a bath bomb. Normally, as you all probably know, I would love Lush, but today I have chosen to do something different for once and show you a selection of chocolate bombs from bomb cosmetics. Because you surely must all be bored of my Lush waffle, right? On my pamper night I will chose one of these and pop it into the bath to do it's thing and fizz away, leaving the bath water beautifully soft and smelling delicious. When I'm actually in the bath, I LOVE to use the Zoella Beauty 'foam sweet foam' shower gel, followed by the 'Eden Apricot scrub for face and body'. Once I am out of the bath, I moisturise all over with the Soap and Glory righteous butter, and we are good to go with skin all silky smooth.

So, good luck to those of you going back to school, or even starting a new school, university, or college. Whatever position you are in right now, I hope it all goes well. Really, it won't be that bad once you're back into the routine!

Thank you for reading, and if you chose to do this, have fun!

Life with a sprinkle of glitter♥

Hello everyone!

Or should I say 'Aloha'?

As I am very sure that the majority of you hardcore 'sprinklearinos' out there already know, Louise released a book not so long ago. After a week of abroad holiday, and therefore of course flights, it's gripping advice and funny tales that Louise shared screamed 'DO NOT PUT ME DOWN' every time I opened up the book. Yep, it's really that good. Spread across four sections with their own chapters, Louise covers all there is to know about glitz, creating, love, and general life, leaving you feeling all fresh and well educated in the world.

One thing I do love about this is Louise's honesty. Her anti-baking chapter in particular, along with her bullying chapter. Taking small insights into her life, she shares never heard before stories that will for sure put a smile on your face. Well, they did mine anyway.

After Louise's body confidence section, I have realised that there is more to life than appearance, and everyone should just "love your body. and remind yourself how gorgeous you are" and soon your confidence will be through the roof. So, thank you Louise, thank you very much. Just because you look different to your friends or other people, why should that make you any worse off? Just 'flaunt it'.

I also think that this would make a great coffee table book too, don't you think? The cover is so pretty and just warms my heart. My mum also said the other day 'oh you can't help but feel that glitter can you?' And I totally understand what she means - the cover has a pot of glitter that is actually glitter and it's the kind of thing that you have to feel every time you see it!

So that's what I think of Louise's new book, 'Life with a sprinkleofglitter'. This is sort of a different post to what I would usually do but I am one for books so I might do book reviews more often. You can find Louise on YoutubeTwitterBlogger and Instagram. You can also buy the book here here  or here

Thanks so much for reading!
